The National WWI Museum and Memorial is a must-see for history lovers. It houses the largest collection of World War I artifacts in the world and features immersive, thoughtfully curated exhibits. The museum sits within a beautifully maintained park and memorial grounds, offering great views of the Kansas City skyline. If time allows, we highly recommend purchasing a ticket to the observation tower for a panoramic view of the city.
One of our favorite places to take guests in KC, for $15 you get one of the best brewery tours that exists of the largest craft brewer in America. During the tour you can expect to taste several samples and at the end you will have some free drink tickets to use. If you enjoy beer or seltzers, a must do!
We love the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and think it’s well worth a stop if you have time. The interior courtyard has an ancient, peaceful feel to it and is one of our favorite parts of the museum. Inside, you’ll find an incredible collection that includes paintings by Monet and Van Gogh, along with art from all over the world. Admission is free, and the sculpture park outside is great for a walk.
